The after pictures...

Well, I cleaned my room in record time this year....
and I purged more items that I am not using!  I have empty cabinet space and room in my closet or more things!  So, I will be ready to do it all over again in August when I take everything back out!
Here are some pictures of what my room looks like...

My goal next year is to get my monthly (gray) tubs to fit in my closet so the custodians do not have to move them to the hallway.  I think I might have been able to be able to pull it off this year, but I was wanting to be finished on Monday because my son only had a 1/2 day on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I was a little selfish and wanted to pick him up from school on those 2 days.

I am off for now to pack a little more...we are heading to our cabin in Oklahoma for 11-12 days!
Everything from reading, fishing, riding horses, and resting!
We leave in 4 hours!  I have to finish packing!

  1. Looks great!! That empty clean slate always made me excited for the next year!! Your tree is super cute. What did you use for the trunk?? I thought it looked like grocery bags smooshed and stacked. I did a paper-mache tree one summer and started with a wire frame and a wooden base. It was soooooo messy & took forever...but...turned out super cute!

    Have a great summer!!

    1. I used an empty carpet roll attached it to a wooden base and yes--it is grocery sacks that are turned inside out and smooshed. You can read all about my tree making adventure under an August 15th post from last year. I would link it to this comment, but not sure that I can...

    1. We are about 20-25 minutes from Muskogee. We have a 'cabin' on the river in Webbers Falls--near Tenkiller Lake. --I used term 'cabin' loosely. It's an old trailer with an add on that we have 'cabinised' Maybe I'll get some pictures up this week.

  6. Thanks for all the kind comments...
We were unsure about our 'Barney purple wall', but I have to say it has grown on me and I do like it with my greens and blues.

  8. Your room looks so clean. It's gonna take me hours this year I am a afraid. I know you are off enjoying your cabin time (rightfully so . . . you so earned it after a long school year), but I would love to have you pop in for a visit when you return. I am following :)
