cleaning my room---
packing and inventory!
I guess it's that time of year to purge again. Last year I did a pretty good job of letting things go, and I think I will need to let more go this year. If it didn't come out of the closet last year, it may have to meet the trash can or the FREE box.
Do you pack up your room, or just close the door?
By the way...it is supposed to be a beautiful day and I would love to be sitting outside reading a book in my comfy chair! So, that make today even harder--maybe it will be my inspiration...

Good luck on the purge. I have started with only 9 days to go. We need to get items off the ground and over to one side of the room so they can clean the carpet.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what carpet in a Kindergarten classroom would look like at the end of the day...do you like it or do you wish you had tile? Maybe it would be easier to clean because only vacuuming would be needed...hummm??
DeleteWhen I taught Kinder I had to take down my entire classroom...LITERALLY. My classroom was converted into the summer program room every summer, but it really helped me to clean out the clutter at the end of every year. I always sent home tons of extras with the kids the last day of school (which I am sure their parents loved...LOL)!

It's a pain to take everything down and put it away, but it does REALLY makes you think about each item and if you really need it! Packing up this year was quicker than last year, so that's a plus!
DeleteI'm just getting started! Luckily I have a huge storage closet that I recently cleaned out. I put as much as I can in there over the summer. I never know until the last minute if my room is being used for summer school or not. The only downfall is opening that closet door in August...stand back! =) Here's to a great summer!
