Happy Fourth of July!

I hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying some time with family and friends.  We are staying at home and spending time with family.  I went to the hairdresser this morning and did a trial run on my hair for the wedding.  I was pretty happy with the results and kinda surprised that she would be working today.  Here is a shot of the back...

I love the back, but not sure how I feel about the front.  I guess I need to look at more images on the computer since you will see the front in the pictures...lol.

Lucy was super excited to see me because she was in the house while everyone was swimming outside and she couldn't go out.  I let her out and she ran over to the pool and climbed the ladder and while she was standing on top, I pushed her in  I helped her into the pool.  She did a few laps and then found the raft.  Here is a pic of her hanging out with Devin...
No big firework displays today because of the lack of a good rain for about a month.  Devin was upset but he did go shopping with his Dad last night and now is happy because he has sparklers (which scare me) and a HUGE variety of smoke bombs.  He doesn't really care as long as he can light it and watch it do something---typical boy!

Be careful with the fireworks, enjoy your family, and say a prayer for the ones defending our freedom.

  2. Like the hairstyle! Have you seen the updos that have the hair french braided in the front? That would look awesome with that style. Anywho... I am your newest follower. I would love for you to follow my blog so that we can share Kinder ideas.

    1. Thanks! I have long bangs, so she did a swoop to the side in front--still looking on pinterest though. I'll have to check out the ones with braids in front and see what that looks like---my hair is short (only to my shoulders)and fine.

  3. Love the hair! I did something similar for my wedding last month. But we had a little beach wedding and she had to spray and pin it to death because we were under a wind advisory that day (of course!).

    1. Thanks! It's actually for my son's wedding. I was shocked--when I took my hair down I took out 84 pins and washed it 3 times to get all the hairspray out. It lasted all day and evening so now I know my hair will stay in place at the wedding!

  5. Me again-just doing a little blog stalking now that I'm back at my computer. Your favicon works and it's adorable! If you sill can't see it, you just need to clear your browser cache. I posted an update on my blog post with instructions for doing that if you need them. Great work!
