First Week...

The new school year began for me this week, even though I have been working on my room for a few weeks.  I have been getting things ready, even though I do not put much on the walls because I like to do this with my kinders.  I even set my calendar wall up with my kinders.  I want them to have ownership of what is in our room and know where they can find things because "we" have put it there.  One thing we did this week was read The Kissing Hand--I am sure many of you do this with your kiddos, so this may be a little late, but you can have it anyway!

I am not sure where the wordage came from because I have had it FOR.EVER!  I just put it in a different format, a border, and  a little simpler.  I forgot to take a pic of the finished product, but you will get the idea...  I put paint on my kinders hand and put the hand print in the open area and then put paint on a finger and placed it on the hand twice to make a heart.  I will try to post a pic next week because I a kinder leave early that day and his isn't finished yet.
